In this case the stove has a lever on the side which disengages the cartridge from the stoves gas feed when not in use, and that brings the seal in the cartridge into action. This means that a duff seal between the cartridge and stove, or a leak in the stoves internals wont continue to leak gas while the stove is not in action.

As with all gas appliances, care is neccessary, but then when using kerosene under pressure, its a good idea to be careful, anything that will burn hot enough to cook can be an issue if not managed properly.

JohnWJohn Welsfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07058513465858775154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-349800934689829416.post-81018954341923990422011-02-28T18:57:01.318-08:002011-02-28T18:57:01.318-08:00Very nice ... my only worry with these is what if ...Very nice ... my only worry with these is what if you have a gas leak. This is butane, right, that's heavier than air? Is this a similar hazard to a propane leak, that it will settle in the bilge (like gasoline fumes)?Roger Prichardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03724048211689190535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-349800934689829416.post-91308774382667747372011-02-20T07:47:21.406-08:002011-02-20T07:47:21.406-08:00Wow!
